I am a little puzzled by the Windows Audio capture in Premiere.
They seem to cater more for the Mac here.
I have set my Audio capture to use Windows Recorder.
So when I record some audio from the microphone it goes into My Documents then I have to import it into Premiere.
Is this the correct proceedure?
Also I would like to know how I import a track from a CD.
My computer has built in audio on the motherboard namely
C-Media but I have not a clue how to use this and I cannot see any help files on it.
Thanks for any help.

Well you have to save your audio somewhere (before importing), it's up to you where you want to save it, When your importing audio you can choose where to save.
What I always do with a cd, is just put my cd in the drive and import it from there, so you don't have to copy the music to your harddrive.

I thought Premiere did not recognize CDA audio from CDs and it had to be converted first.

From my experience, Premiere prefers .wav audio files. I use a CD Ripper to get the music off the CD into a nice .wav file. Try AudioGrabber, it's free and easy to use. Also some CD recording applications also have tools to rip CDs.
