I am currently using a Spectel Audio Bridge. The bridge has a T1 PRI running straight to the bridge today. I am adding ports to the bridge and have decided to either run the next T1 PRI through my Definity GS3 and give it an extension. I currently have 2 DS1 cards but no CSU's. My first question is does anyone have a better way for me to get the T1 up to the bridge without using the CSU, if not where is the best source to buy the CSU? I remember we tried VOIP with Cisco Avid a couple of years ago, and we simply extended the T1 into the GS3, used #8 to point calls to that trunk group and then let the Cisco gatekeeper route the calls. The existing Spectel Audio bridge has an internal CSU from what I know. I need best practices here!

Thanks

When using a "Line Side" T1 you shouldn't need a CSU. When configuring your DS1 instead of using "integrated" for your CSU type use "other".
