audigy drive not responding

ive got an audigy platinum. the card works fine but theres no response from the drive. ive checked the connections and all seems fine, plus there is a hissing through the headphones so i guess there power?
is there any settings in the Bios need changin or any thing in windows.
its a athlon 1600
with 2 rom drives
any help much apprticiated.

If you're talking about the CD drive make sure you plugged the wire that goes from the sound card to the CD drive.

If it's not what you meant, sorry i didn't understand the question.

I had similar problems with audigy. Check the speakers for digital or analog. Check the settings in audigy for type of speakers. If analog and checked for digital no sound. Remove check mark and should work.
