Folks,
I can't seem to discover how to adjust the gain when paging over the phones (MICS W/7.1). When anyone pages, the audible is so high that it squeals the other phones (feedback). Is there some type of gain control please?
thanks to both (rlsabin & cook1082).. we tried both as well; while adjusting or eliminating some of the phones worked for the "squeal" (feedback), it did not affect the volume of the audible. If we adjust the volume of the remaining phones to a suitable level, it is difficult to hear the phone ring on an incoming IC call (I mean really low volume). Crazy, I know.
Are you using overhead speakers (or horns) AND the phones simultaneously for paging? Most speakers and horns have individual volume controls and if your speakers aren't self amplified, check your master volume knob on the paging amp. If the person doing the paging is too close to any phone or speaker receiving the page, It's definitely gonna squeal!
Thankx to all...!!!! Curlycord had the answer....I turned down the BGM on every phone and that seemed to be the key. By the way, no external paging, so thankx to those who thought of that as well.
