hi,

We are using 2 attendants at our reception. All our stations have different coverage paths for internal and external calls. This works fine. But when an attendant calls someone, the system follows the "external" cover of that station. This leads at point 2 back to the attendant and that results in loops.

so, the attendants are seen in the system as external callers. Can this be modified that an attendant is a normal internal call ?

Thanks in advance.

On the system parameters page 5 or so you will see a entry for Attendant Originated Calls: external . You can change the to internal external or priority.

Give this a bash.

Hope this helps

Hi ED,

I already found this parameter. But it doesn't solved the issue. If you look at the docs, this parameter is only to change the ringing pattern when an attendant calls someone.
It does not change the behavior of the call.

Luc

Sorry Found the correct setting on the system parameters coverage form. Change the setting External Coverage Treatment for Transferred Incoming Trunk Calls? n change the N to a Y

Hope this helps

Hi ED,

I just tried this parameter, but it has no effect on my problem. I don't think it has something to do with the attendant.

Regards.

According to the DOCs. External Coverage Treatment for Transferred Incoming Trunk Calls. This field governs how an transferred incoming trunk call is handled if the call redirects to coverage.
Valid entries Usage
y Enter y to allow external coverage treatment for incoming
trunk calls that redirect to coverage.
n Enter n to allow internal coverage treatment for incoming
trunk calls that redirect to coverage

I don't know why it's not working.

Sorry

It works fine for all my stations, but only the attendants take always the external cover.

This parameter doesn't change a thing for the attendants.

Thanks for your time.
