Hey there. As a project, my Networking teacher has decided to have us build a game server in our classroom. The requirement is that the server provide the game through a Cisco router. We started with a Cisco 2500 router, and then switched over to an 831.

Does anyone here have any experience in doing something like this? I don't know what our current configuration is off the top of my head, but I think I can remember the basic setup. I'm not really looking for the solution, more like a push in the right direction. Any help that any of you can give me will be great.

Do you have a design goal/topology that will need to be setup?

The game server has to be run through a cisco router... does this mean that you're going to be putting it on the internet? or are you going to create a mini little intranet in your classroom?
