Attachment being stripped : Exchange Server 2000/Group Wise issue

here we go...

the recipients on the Exchange2000-sp3 box have 2 SMTP addresses associated to each account, 1 for the old domain and one for the new domain. (we recently merged with another department, 1 network is Microsoft driven and the other, Novell.

to my understanding, the external mail hits the Groupwise server, then routes the message to the Exchange2000 box.

our problem is this : if someone sends an email with an attachment using the old domain adrs, no problem. but when using the new SMTP representing the new domain, the attachement is stripped and added to the Message Body, it looks something like this :

At this point i'm thinking the problem is with GroupWise since it is routing the messages to the exchange box.
