I would like to get opinions from those of you who are using the most recent version of the Attachmate SDK. Would this SDK be necessary to program an application that cycles the desktop looking for instances of the Extra app running and then tracking the individual sessions? In other words, the idea behind the system is to have it start in the background on the user's computer, at startup, and cycle every few seconds looking for the Process ID and Thread ID of an Extra session. From there it would begin to track the session, as well as continuing to cycle picking up additional sessions started by the user. Right now, the executable doing the cycling and hooking is written in C++ and I have modified it extensively, but something tells me that this could be done more efficiently using the Attachmate SDK and, maybe, VB 6. The idea is to make this program easily maintainable by future business/programmer types, so that I can move on to more interesting things. :>)
Thank you for any help that you all can provide.
