Did you install over the top of the old version? It is possible that the registry is still pointing to old .dll files. I would suggest uninstalling the new version, run a registry cleaning utility (ie. MS Regclean, Lavasoft Regcleaner) & then reinstall the new version. It should take care of lots of potential problems.

P.S. If you use MS Regclean, you should run it as many times as it finds something to fix. Usually this is twice since it seems to clean up old keys first and then their classids second.
