I finally got the updated ATI WDM video capture drivers to load so they now show up device manager, but now it's saying the drivers aren't listed in my registry. How do I get my new drivers to show up in the registry?
Hi,
please post the exact error message and when, exactly, the message is displayed.
It may also be useful to include details of your operating system, the card you are using, whether is is a "built by ATI" or "powered by ATI" card and the version of the driver you are attempting to install.
I've got a problem with the ATI WDM capture drivers too.
My OS is Win2k (SP4). All the various components seem to show up in Device Manager, but when I run ATI's test program, when it hits the Capture Drivers I get a red "X" showing. It says the Capture Driver INF files are not installed.
Also, if I bring up the Multi-Media Centre Configuration all I ever get (under the TV tab -- TV Capture Source) is "No Default" and Driver: Unsupported.
If I pull down the drop down box and choose ATI Rage Theatre Video Capture, and click "Apply", it never "sticks" -- it always goes back to "No Default".
I've installed the latest WDM several times and get no error messages at all during the setup procedure.
Please HELP ME! It took me nearly 12 hours to get the new video driver working in Windows. <nvbg> (At least I can see the "capture box" in Paintshop Pro now.)
Funny thing -- I bought a new Viewsonic G220fb monitor about 6 months ago and the colors looked "washed out". Now, with the new driver, colors don't look so faded.
