ata fo fax

Hello everyone,

I haven't had this issue in a while,I have line 003 on set 229 hunting from the phone company to line 086 line 086 is for the fax which is on the ata,ext 248. this is what the customer wants when she is on line 003 it hunts to line 86 and goes into her vmail but an incoming fax should be answered by the fax ofcourse and not vmail,is it possible ??

These are not dids just regular loop lines,I've played with it for a little while and can't seem to find a happy medium,any help would be appreciated .

Line 86 is on the phone because I think she was told by someone she needed a 2nd line for 003 to roll to for a 2nd incoming call,I need to test this but if there's a way around it without thee need for line 86 on the phone please let me know.

No you can not have it go to VM and have the Fax work too. It is either or. There is a fax suite keycode that would put the fax in outlook if you have a callpilot.

You always need a second line if you want a rollover, picking a fax line though is not the most brilliant idea unless you short on dollars and have an ATX on the line.

The ATX acts like a splitter, line 2 goes to ATX, from ATX 1 port goes to KSU and other to the Fax....when call comes in it senses if to send it to the KSU or to the Fax machine.

Right... Or a Stick, either way, eliminate the ata altogether. Do they use ATA'a to fax intra-office?
