AT&T - Can I Get a Witness!

My AT&T program keeps on coming up even when im not using the program, then it connects. it does all automatically. does anyone have AT&T worldnet service? i don't know why it does this. is it the aol instant messenger?

I recently changed from a corporate dial-up to the AT&T service and experienced the same thing. Mine seems to have been coming from my McAfee On-Line subscription trying to update when I start the machine for the first time on a day I am not on the network. I had the same issue with the other dial-up program. Best solution seems to be to go into Internet Explorer properties and set your connection to "Never Dial"; this fixed my problem.

ie try go to tools internet options the 4th tab is connetions in there is a options that says never dial the connetion out it to that this makes it so you have open it manuly see if that works So long and thanks for all the fish.
