Sometimes upon upon boot of my computer using the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board, the voice tells me the video fan has failed, then the machine POSTs and boots. I've been checking, and each time that it has said the video fan failed, it was running fine. I'm using an AIW ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. It doesn't do it all the time. Anyone else have similar occurrences?

It may be the fan is slow to spin up and the bios reads it as a failing fan.

Hi Sival,

Asus says the fan must go at min. 2000 rpm to be `considered` running. So the message `CPU fan failed` is actually a bug. Should have been fixed since BIOS revision 1005, but isn't. I found this quite annoying so I just disabled the POST-Voice feature.

Greetings,
Tobi
