Hello,
I have an AsusA7A266 motherboard with a 1.4ghz AMD cpu. I had 256MB of DDR PC2100 ram in the machine. Recently I ordered another 256MB. After installing it, and booting up, the BIOS only sees 256MB, where it should be 512. I have updated my BIOS, and switched the 2 modules around. But still nothing.
I read that the jumper near the end of the AGP slot controls the power to the DDR RAM. But i've tried every combination (1-2, 2-3, off) and still no luck.
Oh yea.. and im using CRUCIAL PC2100 DDR 266mhz RAM..
If you have any ideas.. please help!
Thanks,
Carl
