Asterisk switch tandeming through IPO fails

Greetings. We have a customer that wants to do outbound dialing campaigns. They have an Asterisk (RADS) dialer switch to do that. The customer has an IP Office 8.1.43 as their voice switch with a PRI which they want to use for the campaign outbound calls as well. They have connected the Asterisk to the IPO with SIP trunks. From the IPO, they can call over either trunk group. However, if the Asterisk dialer initiates the call and tries to tandem through the IPO using the PRI, calls fail. We think ARS is correct and have been trying to get this to work. Can you tandem like this? Anyone have any suggestions?
