Is it possible to associate a special icon to an access application in such a way to have it displayed before opening the .mde or .mdb file itself? How to do it?
Thanks in advance.

Tools | Startup menu. There's a box there to enter the path to the icon file.

In your shortcut that opens the database, change the source icon for the shortcut to your icon.

If you do not have a shortcut for your database, you can make one and set this new shortcut to point to your icon.

Thanks a lot.
I created a shortcut for the db and then I changed the icon of the shortcut itself. Now everything works properly,
