I would like to assign some applications but I am not sure about the right procedure; I created and shared a folder in which are copied all the files about the application but I don't know how to add the MSI file (If I am not mistaken this file is needed); do I have to use a third-party application to do that or it is already in W2000 Adv. Server?

Thanks for your help
Leonardo

Thanks futuretech204 for your reply; but what if I have no MSI file? What or how can I create a an MSI file?

Thanks
Leo

winstall LE on thw w2k cd will allow you to build your own .msi file and includes a read me. To get the full version you need to buy it from Veritas

If you have not set policies that stop users from installing their own software and have access to add remove programs look at ZAP (ZAW) files. There can deploy programs to client computers, but they are installed at the clients by using add remove programs. When the user goes to add remove programs, the published apps are listed there to be installed.
