I have a windows 2003 server with 2 IP addresses. Is there a way to bind IP#1 to userA and IP#2 to userB, that way each user has a unique IP address when they surf the web, ftp, IM, etc.

Thanks in advance,
Michael

No - users would have a connection to the server before they logon. Can I ask why you'd need something like that?

You want to assign a static external IP to all users?!

Not sure on Windows. However from a non-OS view I did something similar recently.

We have a pool of 60 external static IP's that hit our firewall. As such when users access web services the external IP they use out sometimes changes. So if user "Tom Jones" is FTP'ing to a secure server such as a hosting company who won't allow IP ranges to be open on their firewall, your stuck.
On my firewall I put a reverse NAT on it, so instead of mapping external IP to an internal, I mapped an internal to an external. Seems to be doing the job...!

Cheers,

Steve.
