Can I install a fresh copy of xp, then browse the network for my asr.bkf file and double click on it and restore it? Will this give me a complete restore hte same as using the boot floppy and setup cd?

I guess my point was that you will always need at least the ASR floppy disk, and the XP CD.

I had both, but the other way actually worked and seemed faster.

Thanks for the input.

that's a go tip linney. I was just happy to instal a fresh copy of xp and the restore the whole system from within windows using the bkf file. Just reboot after restore and you are back in business.
