I've been told that ASP gives you more control over what's happening while ColdFusion is much quicker to develop (it's way simple). Remember that when you go to have your site hosted, you may have to pay extra for a ColdFusion host!
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build better and bigger idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning. - Rich Cook
Yeah I know ColdFusion is prety easy to develop as I have developed a couple of small sites. Played around some with ASP and was really hoping some more dedicated users could provide me with some benefits of using ASP to spur my interest in working more with it. Thanks for your response.
ASP is closer to other programming languages, especially when using Javascript. ASP.NET even more so when using C#. Cold Confusion is a Tag-based system developed to alleviate Web Site developers from needing to understand programming constructs like Objects, Variables, Scope, Functions, Parameters, Return Values etc.
