Has anyone written or seen code that updates virtual directories within IIS using ASP?

Are you talking about moving things around and renaming them via the file system object? If so, yes I have - what question do you have?

I would like to create a script that could save me some time in creating websites within IIS. A on-time script where I can build the VD, something to start with so I can understand what IIS needs.

I do not know how to create new virtual directories and create web services for them although I do believe that it can be done - my web host seems to have all of that automated...
