I have an ASP script that needs to be run on our IIS server, but when I try to browse to it through IE, I get a rather simple yet uninformative message. (it doesnt say 404 anywhere).

Speaking with the server admin, none of his ASP pages work now either. He has checked the server, and all the settings appear to be correct.

A few months ago, we instaled PHP on the server, as some PHP pages were required. This is the ONLY thing that has changed since the ASP pages were last working.

If PHP is the problem, is there a way to re-enable ASP without removing PHP functionality? We have intranet sites deployed using PHP, but also need ASP to work too, as we have a pre-coded file to do what we need in ASP provided by our other site.

Well - I read this in the PHP manual:

Warning:
The SAPI modules have been significantly improved in the 4.1 release, however, you may find that you encounter possible server errors or other server modules such as ASP failing, in older systems.
---

We are running IIS 5.0 on NT, so i cant see much of a problem. We also uninstalled PHP as a test, with no joy, and will reinstall after the weekend.

*Bangs head on table in frustration.
I hate Friday afternoons.
