Hi there,

I want to learn a database connectivity language and I want some advise on which is best to learn. I am new to programming but understand its principals, should I go for Cold Fusion or ASP?

Any feedback appreciated,

Tim

Hi Tim,

As I know, ASP and CF is almost the same but CF is a lot easier to use and learn than ASP, also CF setup is really easy. If I have a choice I will go with CF b/c person who has CF experience gets mucho bucks (((-:. The only disadvantage for CF is that u have to buy the software. U can get ASP for free from Microsoft.
That is how I look at CF ((-:

I would also like to learn ASP or ColdFusion. I am wondering however about the flexibility of the two. I am looking to built an online shopping mall of sorts. I want to get past the cheesy shopping cart programs and get into something I can totally control. The look, the shape, the feel...I want control over it all. I just want it to be efficient when entering all the thousands of items that will be listed. Does anyone have a solution for this delima? Tutorials, examples, manuals...anything is appreciated. Thanks.
