Hi everybody:

I would like to know if it's possible to host a site build on ASP in a Linux server with MySQL databases. What do I need? Apache?

Thanx.

Guillermo.

ASP is primarily a Microsoft technology. There are a few products out there that will convince it to work on Linux, but they are usually fairly expensive (chilisoft comes to mind). In all honesty if your looking to learn web programming or create dynamic pages on a Linux system I would go with PHP.

Hmm, that second one is new to me, interesting. Although it may be important to note that it is using PerlScript as the language for ASP rather than VBScript, which will have a little bit of a learning curve to it if you have only ever used VBScript for ASP.
Still, if I had some space on my to do list, I would look into it :)
