I have web servers that recently started to give me problems. The web server is running W2K and has ColdFusion 5. Database server running W2K & SQL2K. Both have SP4 installed.
We recently installed a program called eNewsLetter Pro, which is a newsletter mailer using ASP, on the web server. It seems like after we send out a mailing, we loose our database connection to SQL. We also have a forum using ASP, and it also looses the database. Our web site running ColdFusion continues to access the database OK.
There are no error messages in the log files and the only way I have found to fix is to reboot the web server. I know the servers need upgraded. The web server is a PIII 450 with 512MB Ram the SQL is PIII 1.3 with 512MB Ram. Plenty of disk space available.
Any ideas as to what could be going on? I'm sure you need more info, so tell me what else you need.
