I have multiple sites connected via SCN but some latency plagued sites maintain their own VMPRO rather than use centralized.

My question is how bad will this behave if I implement Advanced SCN and users hotdesk between sites? Will VM accounts be created on the local site's VMPRO or is it smart enough to tie the user back to their home pbx VM?

:D

Its going to be horrid...

e.g. where are the hot deskers greetings and messages going to be stored?

Your customer is going to complain.

Avaya won't touch it with a barge pole and neither should you.

This configuration may be addressed in future releases, but now it isn't supported.

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

It is not supported..

HOWEVER, I have a 15-location customer that are running 3 separate VMPro servers. Each "web" of systems has a "hub" system, with 3-4 each branching off of it. The 3 "hub" systems are then the ones that communicate with each other via VOIP line.

They have users that hotdesk between sites, and from what I can tell it remembers which system the user is actually at, the the VM stays put accordingly.

I may have just gotten lucky. The set up we have running for them is horribly unsupported, and if I ever ask my distributor for tech support on this one, chances are they will tell me to buzz off. So, despite the fact that I have this set up and working, I would still advise against it. It is not fun troubleshooting problems on this type of setup..
