Customer has R7.1 DEFINITY so cannot use CLAN to connect to ASA

now we have a 8400 data module connected but so few PCs have a serial port that we need to use a sericl to USB adapter to physically connect the data mod to the PC - and I cannot get it to work - not getting any activity on the data mod LEDs - any suggestions?

Thanks

It's been a few years but make sure the data module is administered & enabled in the Definity (list data-modules) and in your application make sure you are using the com port for the USB-to-serial adapter (it's usually high, like 8 or 9). Test it with Hyperterminal first to confirm you have the right com port.
