Can someone direct me in the correct direction on installing the ASA software on a windows pc, i need to connect to a definity switch g3v4 via the network (lan).
I was able to do this up until two weeks ago when our it dept replaced my pc.
I assume I need to know the ip address for the c-lan which I do, but how do I find what port to use? Or are there any other configurations? I wish I wrote this down the last time I went thru this.
Thanks

log into the switch and display ip-s. look for the line with SAT. there you will find the port to use in ASA.

Display ip-services will give you the port.

Thanks Very much PBXtech and busster this is something I will keep a hard copy of for future ref.

G3V4 does not support access to the switch via TCP/IP. That was introduced in G3V9.

I assumed mis-type on version since I don't think v4 supported Clans either.
