I currently export reports (list bcms....) using the reports tool on the advanced tab, these are done over night and sometime during the night ASA crashed, upone restarting ASA most of the scheduled reports had disappeared, is there any way to back-up the scheduled reports incase this happens again.

I've seen this happen and found when I add or change anything in ASA I save configuration. This has helped me.

Thanks
Ed

1a2 to ip I seen it all

Make sure you save the configuration after your done programming your reports. File, then Save Configuration. Even if it crashes the reports will still be there.

thanks,

wildcard

P.S. I've programmed over 1100 BCMS reports to be exported to a network drive. I do this for back up to our CMS data. If a link goes down.. data is missing in our CMS reports, BCMS reports have saved the day many many times.

If you ever need to re-install ASA or need to install it on another computer, here are the files you will need to have backed up:

Everything unique about your copy of ASA is stored in the persist.dat file.
(Switch information, Schedules, History, etc.)

Trunk Analyzer data is stored in Trunk Analyzer#.dat
Occupancy and Traffic data are in Processor Occupance and Call Traffic#.dat
You should back these files up on a regular basis.
