ASA question

I need to use the modem capabilities of my Nextel i830 to connect to my avaya equipment via ASA when I'm on the road.

The issue that I am having is the Init String for this device. I have tried the different pre-installed modems like the generic devices or Hayes with no success.

I have searched the net looking for the Init String but have not been very successful.

Has anyone used a nextel for remote access via ASA?

In my experience, the standard modem with no error correction works for alle kinds of modems. Did you already try this setting?

try default init string: "ATZ".

I added the serial device in the system properties screen along with the default init string "ATZ" and it works great.
