Are you talking about stations, VDN's, Vectors etc... or the general Infromation like version, users stuff??
If you mean vectors and that you can run a report through ASA and use the command "List Stations", "List AGents" etc and then have it export out to a directory on the network/PC.
We run the backups on our systems once a week, just in case, whilst doing changes, we make a little mistake and we remove the wrong VDN, Station etc.
What do you mean by "target system info"? If you're asking if you can transfer all of the PBX/Audix/CMS dialup numbers, modem configs, passwords, etc from DSA to load on another PC, the answer is yes. Just copy the file persist.dat from the ASA data directoty.
Yes,it is all of the PBX/Audix/CMS dialup numbers, modem configs, passwords, etc. Have looked at Persist.dat which has all the info I require.
Thanks for your help.
This is relatively easy if are upgrading your pc or whatever....all you do is copy the persist.dat file to the new or group of machines and overwrite the existing file it will come up with the old directry of numbers etc on the new machine. Works for me. Also on the latest versions under the Avaya Visability Management Suite will provide you with an option to use a shared directory ....that is also good.
The other files in the same directory ares as persist.dat are useful to copy over as they contain site histories etc
C:\Program Files\Avaya\Site Administration\user
copy everything beneath this if you want all the histories and reports
