Does anyone know where ASA saves the configuration when you save it? I have reinstalled ASA on another PC and want to copy the configuration file(s) to this new PC.

(I have done a search for this information and it did say there was a file in the c:\documentandsettings\"userid"\application data\avaya etc... but I do not have the \siteadministrator under my userid)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There isnt anything one can't do, only things one doesn't know how to do.... And if you'll teach, one will learn and therefore one can do...

Or does anyone know what the file name of the save configuration is?

And to clarify, I did do a search in this forum, looking for the answer and found what I posted in my previous note.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

Hello,

Look for Persist.dat, depending on your version it may be in your c:\program files directorys, or in your My Documents folders.

Thank you Thank you Thank you..

I did see that file earlier and wondered what it was. I even opened it in Notepad looking for the config info but was in to much of a rush to see anything and some of the print was hyroglifics.

But Thanks, I did find it under Program files\avaya\site administrator\user.

Thanks again everyone.
