The as/400 agent only works with the Enterprise Edition of Arcserve. Although in SP2 of AE the notes said that support was added, and the as/400 agent appeared in the managr, but it is no longer supported. I personally have Arcserve 2000 AE and tried to purchase/try the agent and was unable to obtain it, finally after many emails back and forth between CA sales and tech support I got:

With respect to the issue # 11859356 regarding the as 400 agent support in ARCserve 2000 , We Initially had that agent supported in ARCserve 2000 AE, But currently it is not supported.
