Hi,

I have a question about the ARS analysis Table and locations.

In our system we haven an ARS analysis table foor all and a table foor different locations.

How do they interact.
For example :
in out main analysis table I haven the following entry
Dialed-String min max route-patter call-type (Table all)
0651 10 10 99 pubu

Location 7 has the following table
Dialed-String min max route-patter call-type (Table loc 7)
065 10 10 100 pubu

If i'm at location 7 en the number I dial is 065141xxxx
does it follow rout-patter 99 or 100?
Does it follow the all ars table or the table from loc 7?

In other words, does the system combines those two table's and matches the one the most close to the dialed number ?

With kind regards

Location 1 follows Location 1 Ars Ana table. 2 follows 2 and so on. Whatever location you are in is what ARS Analysis location table you will follow. So a phone that is in location 7 dials 065 will follow Route 100 in your example.

Thanks for your answer.
But in our case i'm not referring to location 1 but the default location (all)

I'v have tested it (disp ars route-chosen) and it seems to be true.
It seems that the deault ars table is somehow merged into the one of the location.

We have about 230 locations, from witch 220 have the same behaviour. So in our case it is a lot of work to create a ars table for every location.

But i'm not sure, anyone ?

Its going to follow Location 7 ARS (route 100). If the phone is assigned to a location it looks there.

Basically the all table comes into play when there is a phone, device, appliance, etc.. that is not specifically assigned to a port/location. IE: x-ported digital/analog sets or unregistered IP sets that have call-forwarding turned on.

If you have local trunking in each location, you should have location ARS defined for each location. Makes life easier to troubleshoot when a problem arises.

Thanks,
