array of MDI forms

i would like to have a program when a user can open as many MDI forms as they want of the same type. Since the number of forms is unlimited, i want to create one MDI form as a template and have a copy made and opened each time a user create a new form. two questions, how do i create an array of MDI forms as I'm very new to them. And two, how do i keep track of which form the user is viewing. Appreciate any help! thanks
