Our local area code will have any overlay from the phone comapnay which means our area code will require every caller to dial 1+ the area code and number for local and long distance calls. I tried entering the 1XXX in LD 90 but got a ESN 073 code. My are code is the home NPA and I need to know how to change or delete the home NPA and insert the area code into LD 90 or is there another way of achieving this.

prt the npa, you may have it in and sending it to the ld carrier.. do a change and send it to the locals

It does not appear in the NPA list nor in a SPN list.

what about a shorter version? my area code is 1803, if i spn 18, that would negate the 1803 entry.. i have my area code in as a ld code without a conflict with it entered as my home npa

if you're not sure if the number is in npa or nxx or if someone decided to use 1972362 as an npa...

at the NPA prompt just hit enter, wait a few for the list to print out and find the one you want

I did all that and the NPA does not appear.

Thanks GHTROUT I did as you recommended and found the problem. Everything is now programmed with the overlay. Thanks to all who responded.
