If someone's main goal is to pass the MCSD tests (with actually learning new stuff only as a secondary priority ), are using the Transcender practice exams alone enough with which to pass?
No. In order to pass most of the MCP exams you need to actally know the information on the exam as oposed to being able to just spit out memorized answers on a test.

While I agree with mrdenny's post 100%, it seems that what you'd prefer to do is to simply give the correct answer without understanding why that answer is correct.
I admit that some people I know (including myself, once) took the "easy road" with braindumps in order to pass exams. Not that Transcenders are braindumps, but your premise leads me to think that you're not interested in learning new stuff, as you put it.
The MCSD certification is not child's play. It is intended to carry some weight in that one who is MCSD certified knows all of the material well enough to be a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer.
Using braindumps, or the same mindset with different study materials, doesn't help you learn the material well enough to put it into practice in the field, IMO.
As others have said what you need is brain dumps + a good short term memory if your only concern is trying to get a cert. Transcenders aren't brain dumps though they just closely adhere to the format of real exam questions. Try Test King if you want actual brain dumps, assuming you jsut need a cert to satisfy some management directive you may get away with it, if you need the cert as part of a requirement for a job you're applying for you may regret it
