I can't seem to figure this out so hoping for some help. With IP Office 8.0 Essential edition, does it include any form of web portal for users? I'm assuming it doesn't since that would need a server to run it. I'm looking mainly at a PDF document talking about the features which primarily talks about the features in Essential Edition. It then shows the One-X Portal for IP Office which had gadgets for uses to view calls, manage their calls and history, voicemail etc but doesn't specify if that's included in Essential. I assume it is only for Preferred but wanted to find out?

Secondly, I'm not clear on the features of Teleworkers on Essential. I understand I can have remote extensions, but what about a Softphone on the computer where users use a USB headset when working from home. Is that supported in Essential at all or does that also need Preferred?

The user portal isn't that big of a deal but I'd really like there to be a way for my one employee to work from home if they can't make it in by using a headset. I believe that's part of the part time teleworker where it shows either make calls using a home phone, or softphone but then just says Essential allows 2 teleworkers, so just want to confirm that's included?

For the features you refer to you need preffered edition.
These features are enabled by user licenses which are only available in the preferred edition.

After posting this I found the IP Office manual which details the features and shows the web portal needing preferred which is fine. It looks like though the One-X Lite mobile client is fine for essential and looks like softphone as well? That's the main one I'm concerned about is being able to use the soft phone when working from home.
