Hi there,

I've been working with a new version of Accpac (6.0A ERP) for a client that wishes to open a web store. Sage has been boasting for months now about their "sData" service that enables you to POST to their service using XML data to insert & retrieve records.

However, there doesn't appear to be much out there in terms of tutorials or examples. It seems even their own spokespeople do not fully understand the service or are loth to actually help anyone use it. It is also underdeveloped, etc. Not a good situation.

Just wondering if there's anyone here that has experience using it? I've been able to insert customer records & sales orders, but for the life of me, cannot retrieve of list of item prices!

There are no pros yet because nobody except Sage is actively developing in it. All the Accpac pros were waiting for the release of new thin-client web version, but that was recently cancelled, too.

There is a blog from Stephen Smith about how Sdata works. Maybe it can help you out.
