When backup up a SQL Server d/b, that is still in use by a process at the time the backup starts, the backup process seems to do something to the d/b that causes the 3rd party update process to crash, every time. Are there any settings in the BackupExec product to stop this "exclusive access" type problem? If not, how would you suggest we do this?
