Are the 6509 and 3501 swiches layer 3 switches?

The 6509 can be a layer 3 switch, you need the MSFC to make it layer 3, that is an addon module to the SUP 1 or the SUP 2 engines.
As to the 3501, there is no switch with that model number, there is the 3550 series. Thats the only low price L3 switch they have now...
