Hi all,

Can the button programming on the 1120 /1140 sip sets be programmed individually via the button programming on IP Office 9.1.

For example - could I program one of the buttons for twinning / call pickup etc.

Just upgraded a site from a CS1k and they have +-300 1120 / 1140 sets that will be migrated to the IPO.

In IP Office Manager, yes. But the phones themselves will function a bit different on an IP Office.

run, run like the wind
sorry to be so negative but a lot of users will hate you for taking a perfectly fine phone and cutting off the legs on it.
The SIP phones work differently like mkoker said and you will hear a lot of people whine about it following the cutover. You also have to install the SIP firmware on all the phones which can be challenging.
I hear all the time from users that keep the Nortel sets that they are not happy, not only the 1100 series but also the T and M series phone users.
It is a hard concept to grasp for people to have something that looks like the phone they have used for years and still smells the same way but suddenly works differently.

Ok...LOL

I already done the firmware to the latest SIP ver via TFTP - Works great. Provisioning done is such a way that it upgrades from unistim to sip then also adds in the IPO SIP details and once done just need to manually enter the extension details.

All users configured however I read an Avaya doc which says that the buttons cannot be programmed i.e the 4 buttons on the 1120. If you need to program a pickup group key for example you would have to use a short code. I am hoping that this is not the case and hoping that someone can assist by providing a method for this.
Ive tried creating the keys via manager and it does but it does not display on the phone.
They used it on a CS1K and used quite a fair bit of features of which BOSS Secretary is a must.

The strange thing is that I commissioned a yealink via 3rd party sip and I was able to program a key on it. I programmed a twinning key and it worked

Hoping there is a way....

Cheers
