Arcserve very slow

Hi,

I have a problem on Arcserve 2000 when backing up our files servers. The backup is very slow, sometimes it even goes down to less than 1Mo/minute ! The OFA is installed on the servers.

Do you have any info about this problem ?

Are you performing the back up locally on the machine or over the network?
Do you have any errors in the Activity Log or you Event Viewer?

The servers are in the same office, on the same LAN. All components (Network cards & switch) are in Full Duplex 100Mb.

You have to define where the backup is slow? Is it when you back up the remote servers or the server that has Arcserve 2000 and the DLT installed on it.
Has this problem been around for a while or has it just arisen? Have you done any upgrades on the NIC drivers?
Did you check your logs for any errors? Did you find any?
We had issues with slow performance and it turned out to be the SCSI card.
