Hi,
I have an issue with ARCserve V9 and Exchange.
When Exchange is being backed up I get the error message that the account didn't have enough rights to do the backup. NTFS rights on the folders are "Everyone" Full Control. The backup account is a member of the local administrator Group on the Exchange box. It is also member of Domain Admins, Administrators, Backup Operators.
Any ideas?

Hi,
The arcServe 9 exchange user setup is more complicated than that. The user has to be on the local policy as "logon as service" and "act as part of operating system" and one more that I forgot. You have to do this for the domain level, organization level, and local level...
CA has the documentation on how to do this manually, but the best way to do it is to let Brightstor create the user for you when you configure the exchange agent...
Hope this helps,

Hi,
Thanks this one worked! Funny thing though previously it worked to put in the Backup account in the local admin group on the Exchange box but now you have to do it like this which sux bigtime!
Thanks again.
Regards,
