ARCServe v9.01 Error During Backup

Hi All,

I've got a bit of a problem backing up my servers using Brightstor ArcServe v9.01 For Windows.

I get the following error during the backup process:

E8535 Failed to receive data from the client agent. (ADDRESS=<ip address>(<servername>(<ip address>)),EC=10060,COMMAND=0)

Can anyone help please?

That error usually pops up when there is either a network hiccup or the agent crashed. If the Client agent service is still running and there are no crashes mentioned in the log files I would think network hiccup is the cause. There are some settings you can try changing inside of Windows that may help. You should do a search to find the posts. Otherwise, make sure your NIC drivers on the client and server machines are updated to the latest versions.
