ArcServe v 11.1 does not automatic "mergecat"

Hi everybody..
I ´ve a problem with the Database (esp. the Detail-View for a session).
After a Backup-Job, ArcServe will not automaticly merge the Job -Details into the db.. Therefore I can´t see the Session-Details. When I do a manually MergeCat... it works fine.. all the info´s are present.. but this can not be the way, can´nt it ?!
I installed the version by "default" ... means no extra klicking or changing registry-entries ...

I´m out of ideas
Can anybody help me... ???

Merging data into the database should run automatically.
Any messages in the activity logs with database related errors (the 41xx related messages)?
Did this occur right from the start ??

In the activity log is no error-entry (eg. database-error 41xx)... yes, this occur right from the start / installation.
I changed the server for the installation (another physical server).. same problem.
I put the manually-mergecat (cmd-file) to the last job... no result.. only when klicking the batch.. starts & works !!
