I want my jobs to run and the tapes to stay in the Scratch set until the end of the week. However, jobs are running fine but after each job the tape moves into the Save set. So daily I manually move them back into the Scratch set where I want them.
How can I set it up where the tapes stay in the Scratch set after they run their daily jobs?
Thanks in advance.

Scrapper,

when using GFS rotation jobs you give ARCserve control of the administration of tape cartridges. So when a job is finishes tapes will automatically move to the save (not to be overwritten) set until all criteria have been met. I guess you only want to use a GFS rotation because of it's autonaming feature ? If this is the case set all GFS criteria to 0 for all pools (daily, weekly and monthly). This way tapes will move directly into the scratch pools once the backup has finished.

regards

Thanks for the info Cyklops - however, I'm not using GFS (Which I didn't say-sorry). I'm still trying to change the current POOLS retention time to 0. See if that helps. Unless you have other ideas? I'll know more after tonights job.
Thanks
