Hi,

I have a server running NT SP5, Arc Adv 6.61 build 834. We have Arcserve manager installed on 2 workstaions. Both are logged into the domain with exactly the same name. One w/s is allowed to modify jobs on the server but the other is not. w/s2 gets a message (example names used) "There are not enough rights for USERABCDEFGHIJ on server Fredbloggs to complete this transaction". Again, both w/s' are logged into the domain identically. There is not a user called USERABCDEFGIJ on the server or known to the domain. Where the hell is Arcserve getting this ID from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had any luck with this problem? I am getting the same thing here!!

Yeah, sussed it. Remove and re-install the Manager client on whatever PC you are running on it. Done this on both of the PC's that were giving us grief and haven't had a problem since. Cool.
