arcserve problem

close the Manager, stop the Database Engine, then delete the arcserve\database\r*.* files.
If that does not do it then ck for DB corruption.

Arcserve job completes successfully - but Zero files backed up.
Would have thought backing up files would have been a pretty fundamental thing - but obviously not in Arcserve.
NB We are running Arcserve 2000 (SP4) - SP5 would probably do the job - but does anyone know of the hotfix for this one (as this would save me a reboot of this server). Also, if I take this server to SP5, by rights I should update all the others too.

If it's the SMS 2003 client thing SP5 should fix the 0 files backed up - if not look on the Microsoft techbase - there is an article telling you how to change the Windows registry to address this.
