I have a Redhat 7.2 and want to install arcserve 7 to the server. I have installed arcserve and it seems to be working when I typed #astatus.

I would like to know:
1) Is apache really necessary for it to work? I executed the program by opening netscape and typing the file name. I was able to ask me for a login and also authenticated me.

2) After going in, I was not able to select the source path.
(I typed /etc and clicked on the "goto" button). The host I am on was greyed out. May I know what else am I missing?

3) How do I get arcserve to start? (I mean browser interface... not #astart)

Thank you for your help!

I have actually printed it out already and read through but did not see any solutions regarding not able to see /etc files when i hit "goto".

But do you know if apache is a MUST for arcserve7?

For Arcserve 7 for NetWare, the only requirement on the Client side is IE5.5 or greater? Could that be why it is trying to install APACHE? -----------------------------------------------------
"It's true, its damn true!"
